Championship Gaming Series

Ever wanted to be paid while playing games? Ever wanted to be a pro-gamer? Ever wanted to be worship by thousand of girls around the world? Well here is your chance to join Championship Gaming Series 2008!



What is CGS? Its a E-Sports TV League where teams around the world will play each other to determine who is the king of games. Its consider as the 1st ever TV program that involve such big scales with money prize almost USD 30K worth of contract. Team will be selected from 6 region including Asia and will represent Asia to the grand finale in US.

The selections for the Malaysian team will be held on the 22nd and 23rd of March at FTZ cybercafé in Subang .



The selection process will be for the KL Taufan team which will consist of 5 players for Counterstrike Source, 1 player for Fifa, 2 players for Forza 2 and 2 players for DOA 4 (1 male + 1 female).



Selected players will be flown to China for Pan Asian trials in April, all expenses paid to represent Malaysia in taking on Korea, Singapore, Dubai, Australia and China. The top two teams out of these 6 county representatives will win a lucrative USD30,000 annual contract per player to play professionally and a berth for the grand finals in the United States and a USD1000,000 purse.




The search for the 10 best players in their field of expertise for the highest stake cyber tournament has begun !! With over USD6.5 million paid out to players in 2007, The CGS ( Championship Gaming Series ) not only offers the highest stakes, it is also the most widely broadcasted, with over 100 million viewers around the world through DirectTV and StarTV cable.



The selection process will cover various genres of cyber games over 2 platforms, PC and the Xbox360. The team will consist of 5 players for Counterstrike Source, 1 player for Fifa, 2 players for Forza 2 and 2 players for DOA 4 (1 male + 1 female).



The selections for the Malaysian team will be held on the 22nd and 23rd of March at FTZ cybercafé in Subang . FTZ was an obvious choice as the venue was comfortable and spacious and more importantly the equipment met the high standards needed to run the trials.



E-Club, the official distributer and license holder for Valve products which includes Counterstrike is fully endorsing and supporting this event and the local CS community.



Selected team members are required to attend a rigorous boot camp prior to the Pan Asian trials.



All Participants will have to be 18 and above with a valid passport.
